Iran-Netherlands Trade and Cultural Center inaugurated

The Iran-Netherlands Trade and Cultural Center opened its doors to the public in Leiderdorp, the Netherlands, on Friday.

The director of Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts Organization, Masoud Soltanifar, the Iranian ambassador to the Netherlands, Alireza Jahangiri, and the vice chairman of the Iranian chamber of commerce, Farhad Sharif, as well as several officials, diplomats, merchants, and artists from both nations attended the inauguration ceremony, ISNA reported on Saturday. 

The center, established by the private sector, offers variety of Iranian products such as handicrafts, furniture, carpets, and potteries as it also seeks to fertile the ground for facilitating trade between the two sides.

Meanwhile, Soltanifar met with Dutch Minister of Education, Culture and Science Jet Bussemaker upon his arrival in The Hague on Thursday.

The officials discussed a range of subjects including tourism, handicrafts, conservation of cultural heritage, and museum curating as they explored avenues to broaden ties in those regards.
